IAC Diploma: Relative Value Quotent 13(rvq13).A rating equivalent to that Granted university bachelors.
IAC members holding any of the diplomas with at least three years relevant, practical work experience are qualified to perform duties of an Accounting Officer in terms of the Close Corporation Act (No69 of 1984) in South Africa:
• Higher Diploma in Financial Accounting
• Higher Diploma in Corporate Management
• Higher Diploma in Cost & Management Accounting
By virtue of their professional status and HSRC evaluation, the IAC Higher Diplomas are recognized internationally for membership purposes by equivalent professional bodies or for further study, throughout the world, provided the IAC graduates meet the usual admission requirements in terms of post qualification experience.
Employers throughout Southern Africa recognize and acknowledge the attainment of an IAC qualification (and IAC Membership) as an important factor when Making appointments, promoting personal or granting salary increases.
The University of Zimbabwe offers direct entry to the second year of their Bachelor of Accountancy Degree programme (BAcc) for students who have Successfully completed the Institute's Diploma in Financial Accountancy.
National University of Science and Technology (NUST) offers IAC graduates a one year bridging course enroute to a master's degree, African and Catholic Universities, Zimbabwe Open University.
ACCA, Association of Certified Chartered Accountants, CIPS, Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply offer exemptions to IAC higher diploma graduates.
