Requirements

Professional requirements for professional membership of the IAC CAN BE OBTAINED IN TWO WAYS:
(a) Passing all the subjects of an IAC Diploma (with or without subject exemptions)
OR

Special Waiver

According to the applicant’s professional status, age and relevant business experience, membership may be granted in one of the following grades:
i. Association membership (AIAC)
ii. Full Membership (MIAC)

Application

Membership must be applied for on the prescribed form, Application for professional membership Form, and accompanied by payment of the required election fee and annual subscription.

What Is IAC

As a professional management institute, the institute of Administration and commerce maintains a register of members and applies and upholds its code of ethics and professional conduct

Tuition

The institute of Administration and commerce does not provide tuition. Tuition is outsourced to accredited colleges. Student’s 1st time registration with the IAC is separate from registration for tuition at a college.

Admission

The following are the requirements:
• 2 “A” Levels plus 5 “O” Levels including English at ‘O’ level for non financial courses.
• 2 ‘A’ Level commercial subjects plus 5 ‘O’ levels including English

Registration

The following are the requirements:
Our academic year is from the 1st January to 31st December and all students must register with the IAC for each year of study, using the official IAC Registration or Re-registration form

Examinations

•Only registered students will be allowed to enter for the examinations.
•Examination entry forms are mailed to students before each examination or download forms from the website.
•Complete an examination entry form

Exemptions

1 Only students who have passed subjects at tertiary ( post-senior Certificates) level may apply for exemptions.
2 Only subjects examined by formal academic institutions

1 Failure Report: Students who fail a subject may request a detailed report .This report contains indications by the examiner regarding the reasons for

Graduation

Once a student has completed an IAC preliminary Certificate, Certificate or Higher Certificate, a Certificate is issued on request and receipt of payment.
A formal graduation ceremony is arranged in one of the centers

Curriculum

The various Diploma course have certain common core subjects, which are specifically designed to provide the necessary foundation essential for management practice. These core subjects are compulsory for all courses.

Structure

As a further step towards meeting the requirements of the South African Qualifications Framework (NQF). The IAC has reviewed its curricula as well as the rules of the subject combinations.
